AIESEC NTU - SSTI International Essay Writing Competition Results are OUT!

In today’s world, many Voluntary Welfare Organizations (VWOs) are facing common problems which threaten their sustainability. This international online essay writing competition was organized by AIESEC in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in partnership with SSTI, the Social Service Training Institute in Singapore. It aimed to consolidate refreshing ideas and possible solutions from both local and overseas youth. This mutually beneficial collaboration aimed to expose youth to the challenges in the social service sector, whilst the Voluntary Welfare Organizations (VWOs) stand to benefit from their new and perhaps innovative ideas. The competition ran from April till July 2008 and the competition topic was "How can non-profit organisations/voluntary welfare organisations attract sufficient resources for sustainability?" 

After two rounds of judging, the results are as following: 

Gold: Ronald Wong Jian Jie (Singapore) 
Silver: Samuel Lim Yong Peng (Singapore) 
Bronze
: Karry Lai (Canada)
