Greetings from International Congress 2007
Merhaba! Hey AIESEC Singapore! Hope everyone is doing fine in the Lion City. YES! We, the MCs of AIESEC SIPO, are now in the gateway between Asia and Europe – TURKEY!!!
IC 2007 has been a wonderful experience! It’s amazing to listen to the presentations by our global partners (eg. Cadbury, ABN Amro, HP, Electrolux, DHL etc) about their experiences in partnering with AIESEC, how they are enthralled by the way we do things, how @ interns bring enormous value adds into their organizations, and their desire to continue working with us!
The theme for IC 2007 is “One for all, all for the future”. It means that everything that we in AIESEC on every single day will collectively bring about huge impacts to the society, and all these effort and impacts are necessary to lead us towards a common future.
IC is never complete without the developing leaders’ day (DLD), organized by both Cadburry and ABN AMRO. In fact, this is the 8th year for Caburry-AIESEC Partnership in DLD. Some of the DLD sessions include Belbin Test, “Atlantis Zin” game, self-reflection, and learning of team dynamics. Well, praises for AIESECers are heard everywhere!!!! According to my DLD faci from Cadbury London, he was intrigued by the pro-activeness, leadership dev and diversity of AIESEcers throughout the sessions, whilst he was a "typical" student back then in university 6 years ago.

Furthermore, our BEADS Social Entrepreneurship project (esp the proposal and product sheets) has won many accolades in APGN! Great job BEADS OC! That aside, in terms of country and LC cooperations, the MCs have spoken to various global partners (PWC, TCS, ING etc), countries (Vietnam, TW, Sweden, India, Middle East etc) and LCs for exchanges, CEED, AP HEROES project etc
Last but not least, to my dearest EB Team, great job guys for the whole screening and interview process. To the senior members, hope you will have fun at the gathering session on Aug 25, and to the newly recruited members, WELCOME to the Global Family of AIESEC!
Love from Istanbul,
Alvin
